Leicestershire’s property market has busiest ever year

The property market in Leicestershire had its busiest ever year after £731 million was invested in the year in 2014 – the best take-up of property in the county in three years.

This is more than treble the amount invested in the previous year, according to the Innes England Market Insite report.

The report noted that following several years in which out-of-town development has been in favour, the city centre is now catching up.

Director at Innes England Peter Doleman commented: “The Leicester property market performed well during 2014 and saw the city centre bounce back with take-up now at the same level as the out-of-town market.”
